Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Population/Nationalism separates/segregates/isolates. It isn't "neighborly". Is being neighborly antiquated/passe/old hat? Who decided that?
Thank you for your reply Glis. I realize that. We KNOW that nationalists don't give a rat's a** about the rest of the world. They are anti-Globalism. Are you telling me that populists are intellectually aware/curious/supportive of global issues? Aren't they rather involved with their own lives and own issues? The working-class man does not have time to pontificate or intellectualize about anything apart from what affects him and his family. Nothing wrong with that at all. It is what it is. He wants his job and his benefits and doesn't want to have to worry about them. So a populist is likely to be a nationalist and vice versa as I see it. It is my opinion. Yours is yours. If you believe they are not related at all that's fine with me. I totally disagree with thee if that is the case but so what? Who cares? Thank you for your reply.

BTW, you can have populist movement that favors globalism. There is no defining theory or model of governing under the banner of populism. In fact democratic forms of government are by by nature populist.
