Defending their boss hopefully causes them much guilt and lack of sleep. But they keep doing it because they get paid well and what else are they qualified to do? After it all goes away what are they left with? A reputation in shreds. No one finds either of them credible. They are willing to do/say anything to keep their jobs. They can be bought. They have no standards. They are purchasable. You might find them on the discount rack eventually. Where all merchandise goes that wasn't worth purchasing.
