Trump will cut $340 million of funding for economic development programs supporting laid-off coal miners in Appalachia. Why the betrayal?

He PROMISED to bring back jobs to coal country. Is this his way of keeping that promise? People count on that help from the Appalachian Regional Commission who would get those funds to do the training. So much for Trump's promises.  The laid-off coal miners are very worried now because a safety net is being yanked right out from under them. So much for Trump's promises. I know. I already said that.  SIGH

If the coal miners are going back to work, they may not want to pursue a new line of work.

When will that day arrive, if ever? What do they do in the meantime bh? Starve/die? Why not bring jobs back FIRST and then reduce the help for those who have none? That is the logical, reasonable and sensible thing to do. Isn't it? Another defense of The Donald from you. Will it ever end? Thank you for your reply.
