I think that my consumption of Tobasco must account for at least ten percent of their revenue. I've tried many thru the years, I find Siracha,... kind of ok,... Louisiana hot sauce I think is terrible. You know what I do sometimes, I take the liquid jalapeño peppers come in and mix it in the Tobasco Sauce, it makes it a little hotter without changing the flavor.
Lago if you happen to live in the states and have a Trader Joe's they have this lovely hot sauce that sounds a bit like what you are trying to achieve. Its called Dragon Sauce.
Yeah, we call it "c**k" sauce at work. I know not very original, you know . . .because of the rooster picture and all. . . Now it's gotten to the point that any hot sauce is called, "d---" sauce at work. It doesn't seem like it now, but it is kind of funny. This from a bunch of grown men. Go figure.
It really depends on what I'm eating or cooking. There are so many I've tried and I like them all for various reasons. Tabasco is fine as a generic when I have nothing else on hand. If I'm not in the mood for super spicy, I prefer Cholula sauce for it's flavor. Not as vinegary as Tabasco. When I am looking for that super spicy that kind of sneaks up on me, I like CaJohn's El Chupacabra. I've used Valentina, Texas Pete, Louisiana, Frank's, and of course, Huy Fong's Sriracha. I haven't tried Tapatio or Crystal, both of which I've heard are pretty good. Seeing how a couple of you here like Tapatio, I will definitely give it a go.

Remember that old saying V? "Variety is the spice of life." I really like trying new things when it comes to cooking. My tastes have changed over the years. Unfortunately, I can't really handle ultra spicy too much any more but it still doesn't stop me from eating it! I just pay for it later. lol.
I like Sirracha and have recently gotten Yuzu which is flavorful and mildly hot. I have seen many hot sauces online at a wholloping $10 or more for an ounce or two. I'm curious but not at that price.
I don't use hot sauce, but I can grow various 'superhot' peppers such as 'Bhut Jolokia', which is SO HOT that they should be handled with gloves. I heard that someone died right after eating some.
