    No can't sing neither. 
    When I was in the Navy I used a bosun call (sort of a whistle thing) to pipe 'wake wakey' at 7 am , 'up spirits' at 11:30 am, 'hands to muster for grog' at 11:50,calll the first dog watchmen, last dog watchmen etc...  Sometimes had to pipe an Admiral aboard also.
