Forbid certain people from testifying. Cancel meetings. Not the best way to uncover information. An excellent way to bury it, isn't it?

So the White House forbids ex-Attorney General Sally Yates from testifying at the House Intelligence Committee investigation. (The White House is denying it. Of course they are!) That's moot anyway since Devin Nunes has cancelled all of them. What LOGICAL/HONORABLE/DEFENSIBLE reasons could there possibly be for doing that? Coverups are always so transparently obvious. Why aren't the players who engage in them smoother and more adept/proficient/successful at it? They have tons of experience. Why don't they get better at it?
