I think so many things lose their way to their original definitions; feminism, political correctness, etc. You have to look not only at the set of beliefs and principles a group of people belonging to a certain ideology believe in, but also their actions. They will usually refer to the dictionary definition but I feel like that isn't quite enough when judging a certain movement or concept. Everything is a factor and needs to be taken into consideration.
