Hahahahahahaha!!!! I couldn't be so brash! To keep him entertained while they are gone, I have thought about kidnapping a squirrel and putting it their house for free entertainment. The cat wold have the time of his life!! It would be great exercise for both of them.
Hi Didge~ So true. When my mom first brought Becca home, she lived under their bed for about a week. She is an indoor/outdoor cat. But that first month or two, she was an indoor cat only. She was scared to death. I would definitely try to see if I could get it out from under the bed. Good idea!
Hi VirginiaL~ You are so right. If I had not met the cat before, it would be rude and offensive for me to waltz into his home. What happened if he/she didn't like me? We would have quite the problem. It is very thoughtful of you to think how the cat might feel about the whole situation. Probably a little bit of separation anxiety for the poor kitty too while the are gone. I would definitely spend some time with them before intruding on his castle. :) Great idea. :)
