What kind of dishwasher do you use? Is it any good?

Mrs Didge has an android dishwasher that is about my height, has a bald head, wears specs, and looks practically human. She calls it Didge. She said she won't buy an electronic dishwasher until it can no longer function. Do you think she should trade it in on something more modern?

My wife in her infinite wisdom got a Hotpoint dishwasher shortly after we move here many moons ago. It's had the product fix to stop it going up in flames.

It is no longer very efficient and I find myself regularly rerinsing mugs. She tried a run with some cleaning agent but that only helped for one wash.

I've always thought it a waste of time and water.

  • Looks like it.  I guess I could get one of those little portable ones, but just haven't had the ambition to do it yet. :)

When I bought this house 15 years ago, the people before me put in a gourmet kitchen.  That included an Asko dishwasher that I've always hated.  I always have to rinse dishes before I load them or else food will be caked onto them.  I would replace it but unfortunately, I have too many other things that require fixing that I must throw money at first.

  • I've heard some are like that. With only two of us at home there's not much point getting a dishwasher.

  • When I have an mechanical dishwasher, I always seem to enjoy it VERY much...being not something I like doing by hand. Mine have always been very good, but it does seem like that is rare; so many don't work well!
Right now, I am myself the dishwasher, and that is okay...you just have to keep at it or the kitchen looks awful. With a dishwasher, you can hide the mess away!

  • I'm my own dishwasher....I do have a dishwasher, but I'm sure there's cobwebs in it as I don't think I own enough dishes to fill it!

  • Hey I see you have 666 likes under your puppy. Watch out: the devil might get you. Hmm, if he turns up you might be able to trade your soul for a set of dishes that never need washing.

  • Lol! Never noticed that! I should prolly go to the library and check out a bible...start thumping it, spin around three times and put salt around my house...maybe wear some garlic....oh wait, that's vampires isn't it!?

  • If you eat enough of the garlic it not only works on vampires, it will keep everybody away.
