Do you think this is real? Fake?

As silly as this is, it started a relatively heated argument between two grown people.
I think it is fake, but I have no idea how it was done.

Real what? Fake what? I see nothing there to judge real or fake.

  •  I know right?
I've read all about the Brahma Chickens, but im still not convinced. As I read, the biggest one of those gets is about eighteen pounds heavy, which this thing obviously surpasses.
    I looks so real tho.

It's the size of the chicken coop, the fluffiness of the feathers, and the angle of the camera that is throwing you off.

It is not obvious at all. There is nothing in the picture to judge size. A simple search turns up plenty of references to brahma chickens. They all look like this one but they might be brown. Roosters can be 12 to 18 pounds, but nobody mentions height. I would expect an 18 lb chicken to be larger than an 18 lb dog.

  • You don't think it's way too big??

  • I think it is fake.
The rooster's feet are too big, disproportionately, rump and tail section too...but so cleverly done it is hard to distinguish, to be sure.
Just like a human giant might be out of proportion, this fools you...but I am inclined to fake.

  • You know I asked a friend who actually raises chickens and he said he nvdr seen a chicken walk down the steps of its coop. He also mentioned the feet.
I thi k it's either a perspective trick or a lens illusion. I mean...I does move like a chicken to me. ) This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at April 2, 2017 2:03 PM MDT

Real. There is no scale comparison. The trees could be very small trees and all of the houses are chicken-size. However, I think it is a big rooster, maybe the size of a small turkey.

  • That d be a lot of work tho. I agree I think it's just a big ass chicken. Also I think I would have heard about this before now. You know?

(How long were you debating this for?! Go on, admit it))

  • That's just silly Ms L.
I can't figure it out, and although, on the surface it may seem unimportant, my inability to let it go, must be a sign of something bigger. . . .no?

  • You can't let it go because you can't figure it out, that's how you are.
But taking that it's real (me being me, I've just been looking into this particular poultry. He has a name) your inability to let it go is saying more about your superlative inquring mind than anything else.
Plus I think you're a bit grossed out and that may have something to do with it. )
