Is it necessary to wear full time eyeglasses if you're only farsighted?

    it probably depends on you and how it affects your vision, im nearsighted myself but i wear them all the time except when im sleeping

    No. If you're farsighted, you'd only need them when you're reading, on the computer. If you're significantly nearsighted, you'd need them all the time. Sadly, when you're nearsighted, you usually end up with bifocals once you reach a certain age. This sucks, big time. :(

    I have bifocals, too.  They take a little getting used to, but once you do, it's great.

    Hi Spunky,  I just got my new bifocals last week.  Boy, it sure is nice to see things without squinting. No more headaches! :)

    I definitely need the reading portion all the time and the distance for driving and watching TV, but if I'm not doing either of those, I don't need to wear them.  Sometimes I think it would be easier if I needed to wear them all the time.  Now, I put them on and take them off.

    If you can see far away without needing glasses, then you don't need to use them all the time.  In fact, I would think that if you used them all the time, your distance sight would be impaired.
