Why would a childless person intentionally seek out a single parent to date?

  • I don't think they would , honestly. unless they like the fact you are settled and tied down. At my age it's hard to find people who don't have kids. In my experience breakups are harder with people who have children cos you breaking  up and losing contact with the kids too. That really sucks.

I was on a site for single parents and there were a lot of people without kids on it. It bewildered me.

  • Makes sence .....I was in a realationship with a single parent for a while. I don't have children of my own and did like the stability of it all. But the breakups are painfull as' ...more cos of the kids and the bonds made. I won't do that again.

:/ That is sad. I lost a dog with my last relationship. That was hard enough. I didn't even like the stupid dog ether and I still miss him. D:

  • Okay we need another Senate investigation as soon as we get some available as they are currently all investigating something else. How did a childless person get on a single parent network? Joe PT must be in charge of approving applications.

Are you assuming they are childless by intent? If not they may be seeking a family to make their own but go ahead condemn them, *sigh*. This post was edited by O-uknow at April 3, 2017 10:28 PM MDT

  • Yes condemn them for being creepy as puck.   Even if they are a pervert they don't have enough common sense to understand how creepy that sounds posting that to llnk for a date on the internet.    They might not be a pervert or bad person but they are a weirdo that they can't even comprehend that aspect.

I married a single lady with a child, her son.  I did it because I loved her.

I think that's different than looking specifically for someone with kids, though sweet. :)

  • Maybe the fact they have children indicate they are stable and not flighty..
Perhaps some permancy is what they seek.. Someone with character maybe...

Hmm... Someone should tell them that something like half of all pregnancies are unintended. That makes half of all parents irresponsible, not stable. lol (Had to play devil's advocate there.)

  • No, I think that's fine.. I would answer that mistakes Happen... It's what you do after making a mistake that determines your character... Balls in your court.. I think it's 1 all :)

    (Ball's)

Without the apostrophe, the sentence takes on a completely different meaning . . .

Because they want to see the pure fear in the faces of kids when they say to them; "Hey guys, I'm your new dad, and you are my new kids! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

  • I take it as meaning they are intentionally looking to find a person with children.
if that's the case I would run like hell from said person.

I'm with Glis.  The first thing that popped into my mind when I read your question is: a pedophile.

  • I read that or someone looking for someone with desperation to take advantage of.  Could be another single parent looking for someone with a similar life experience , but would guess that would be part of the description.

I have heard of people that love kids but can't have some of their own?

  • True but the fact that they don't realize how creepy that sounds as a request raises so many damn red flags.
