  • Actually? Quite recently I just went through something like this. But the fact of the matter is? I don't care if they like me anymore or not. It's their loss or stupidity.

At times we reach a point where we need to only care for our own feelings. It's sad, but friends won't always be what they make themselves look like. Meh.

Lived it. If they don't like me for being honest, it is their problem and not mine. I have other friends.

Yep.  Misjudged a good friend once.  Told her the truth.  I miss her.

Friendships should be able to hold the truth, no? Sorry for your loss though. Meh.

  • It happens, I hate it when it does but, what can you do. I usually just wait for them to come around.

  • If I am in a situation where im dealing with a friend, yes Id care. I may act like I don't, but I know I would.
If the person is just an acquaintance, then I wouldn't really give a stick. . .

I rarely hate. As for come around, it sometimes takes an effort from our own side. It will be up to us to decide whether we can accept and live with whatever triggered the situation/circumstances, or not.

Recently dealt with this myself.  Not a nice feeling.  There is always huge risks in speaking the truth.  Finding the balance between not saying enough and too much is key.

Beautifully said PeaPod.  I have to agree.  Unfortunately, I tend to put my foot in my mouth.  I think using your best judgement about how much of the truth be told is better.  That old personal struggle.  Do I tell her those jeans really don't fit her well or do I keep letting her believe they do?
That was on a very small scale, but it is "the truth." ;)

  • I guess the truth is what we decide it to be... I think the issues arise once reality comes up against "your" truth

Reality is a bigger part of it, I do believe the same.

If looking for truth. Not if illusion is all we see and believe in.
