Thanks Addb! I suspect it is precisely the same as those who don't believe in abortion and also don't believe in family planning or birth control. If you use birth control you don't get pregnant so abortion is irrelevant. If you don't use and don't want more kids all that's left is abstinence or loving someone of the same gender. I just thought of another question. You will recognize it! :)

I don't believe in abortion and I believe in birth control.
I don't believe in using abortion as birth control or using a method that prevents a fertilized egg from developing farther.

I believe in birth control which is what family planning is all about. Abortion is not a valid method of birth control! Birth control means PREVENTING conception by the use of pills or whatever other means works. Some folks disapprove of that. hey say God said "go forth and multiply" and that's what they do. If they can afford to have ten kids and support them and educate them without expecting welfare to do the job they should then God Bless them. Family Planning is a target for many on the right because they ignore what it is and focus only on abortion which is a tiny part of it and NOT the entirety or the majority or even a large part of family planning. SIGH. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Sunday to thee!  :)

I thought you were okay with welfare programs? I am the confused one now. Or are you only okay with it for nonreligious people? Personally I only know 2 people who had 10 kids. My grandma had 11....I was not around when the kids were young to know it she got gov assistance (I know she did receive it in her 60s). No she is not Catholic. And she worked outside the house all her life.
The other is a friend of my daughter's mother. She also not Catholic and I know she gets assistance. I know she works sometimes.

I am glad to hear you agree abortion is not birth control. But there are about 4 products that the government describes as birth control that do not prevent pregnancy but in fact terminate a pregnancy (the are called abortifacients) these are the birth control methods that we being refused to paid for by Hobby Lobby in the Supreme Court.

Because it is not just the children coming there are adults also and we have no way to vet them properly. And ISIS has said point blank that they will use the refugee program to get to the US to stage attacks.

Thank you for your reply m2c.  It confuses me. Just like folks who hate abortion and fight for the life of the fetus confuse me because once the child is born they don't want the government to provide health care or lunches or education or anything. The unborn child is what is valued. Once born you're on your own and whatever happens happens. No skin of my nose! Bah humbug! :(

I am against abortion but I believe we should have safety nets for people who need it. I do believe there should be a work requirement to receive any public assistance.
