Now we learn overbooking wasn't the cause of the UAL flap. See below for what was. Does that make it better or worse? Why?

Per John Slater who is in charge of O'Hare's Chicago operations, 4 passengers needed to be removed to make room for employees who had to be repositioned to work a flight the next morning! So they bumped paying passengers to make room for their own employees.

    Given what the "flap" has done to United's share price, it would have been MUCH cheaper to charter a light plane to ship those employees.
