  • Excellent observation, nobodylair37 and one which I agree with, yet I'm assuming the role of devil's advocate by proposing this query.

Nah---I figure He knew exactly what He was doing.

But He sure hasn't totally explained what He was thinking to me.

  • The existence of God is the first one, and the creation is the second one :)

  • Hmm... Without the first, there is no second so it goes without saying.

At that point, God was supposed to know what we all were capable of. He's called all-knowing for Christ's sake.

  • Question...why did God ask Cain where Able was if he already knew? This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at April 17, 2017 8:30 PM MDT

They slipped up with that one or God knew, but wanted to see if Cain would tell God the truth. Some Christians could pull that one out of their arses. This post was edited by Zack at April 17, 2017 7:26 PM MDT

  • lol. You think?

And there's more...  Genesis "4:17 Cain made love to his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his sonEnoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech."

Adam end Eve were the first two people, they had two sons...one killed the other...ok...good so far...then Cain built a city...Pretty small city with only one person. Then Cain bagged a babe and had a kid named Enoch.  Where the hell did that wife come from? Then Enoch had Erad.  What?!  MORE people! I'm getting the impression that back in the day, we multiplied like amoebas

Gen 5:4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters.

Eight hundred years...Plenty of time to have many many children.

  • Yeah..well that's not really the point...How the heck is that happening when A&E only had 2 kids; one which murdered the other.

..that leaves one kid. Where did all the other people come from???

No where in the Bible does it say that the 3 boys are the only children they had in that time period. The Bible normally does not mention the number or names of daughters.

Pretty sure someone is not listening. You just showed that Adam and Eve had sons and daughters.

No. We are here for one reason and one reason only. To decide if we will follow....God or not.
