One of the wisest, savvy AM member decided to close his account, is this beginning of a new trend?

just now my2cents informed that Didge has closed his account, to a query I just made. A versatile, astute questioner has left a huge void. Nowadays, I have to go on a search and seek questions  which appeal, which are thought provoking. When my attempts turn futile I decide to frame a few of my own and await responses for  them. Has AM decided that it is not for ALL?

The dysfunction in Adult Mug is likely due to lack of funds. There is an option to make cash donations to AM.

Goes for all groups, not only adultMug. Notifications aren't great as we can't see which question. Furthermore it's hard to tell whom is replying to whom as pages are short and there is no arrow or reference to what you reply. Makes it difficult for the ones receiving a comment to tell if it is for them or someone else. As said, goes for all groups.

  • It's a convoluted mess.  Can't make heads or tails of what is going there and just trying to go through the threads and replies is near impossible.

  • I hate to say it and sound ungrateful.  Fact is though it is basically a waste of resources in it's current form.  I honestly don't know if it can even be saved.

I don't use any groups and was only responding to WW's comment on AdultMug. But the answer is the same for any group or feature that needs work. Improvements are made as funds are available. Some of us have made donations to the site in the past and those donations were put to use.

True Jane, I was just adding on with my knowledge, saying it isn't a adultMug specific issue. Was all there was in it.

I don't know the amount, but I'm sure JA would be happy to discuss it with you. I made a donation via PayPal. There is a 'donate' button on the bottom of this linked page. http://answermug.com/pages/donate

  • I'm disappointed to Didje leave but it is not surprising.  The site being overrun with Trump and trash bag questions.

I'm with you on this WW.  I ignore what I have no interest in and just pick what I want to answer.

    I agree Peas.
There are so many subjects to choose from that it is easy to ignore the ones we have no interest in.

Lately I did notice notice a change from his usual open minded levity. Like he was becoming more intolerant.
