As a very good Christian man Trump loves his neighbor as he does himself. He treats others as he wishes to be treated. Right? .

Of course he also knows what a true Christian knows.
"What you do to the least of mine you do to me"

So every time he screws someone or cheats someone or lies or attacks or harms others he isn't only doing it to them.  Does Trump even know what it means to be a Christian? How?

Trump is a "Conservative Christian", aka a hypocrite. So is Pence.

God is watching. So are we the people. Those who have been conned by this clearly evil sham man shock me but to each his/her own. The comeuppance of Trump will be a delight to watch. I hope to live to see it!  Thank you for your reply Sbf and Happy Monday! :)

Trump has given more money to charity than most of us make.

Another Bible quote to consider: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

A drop in the ocean compared to the millions who will die due to pre-existing conditions that, in the absence of the ACA, they won't be able to afford healthcare for.

Preexisting conditions are still protected. As long as you keep your policy in place....if it lapses for 60+ days then you will have an increase of 30% in premium. I am uninsured...if I get coverage I will be subject to this 30% penalty premium.
If a state applies for a waiver they will be required to setup a high risk pool to help with premiums. But no one will be denied based on preexisting conditions.

Right. No one will be denied. So if your pre-existing condition is metatastic cancer it will cost you  $172,000 MORE PER YEAR. You must be very wealthy m2c to not let that bother thee.  Very wealthy. That would explain your view of Trump and his tax cuts giving billions to people like you as he takes those very same billions away in healthcare coverage for those who need it. Now I understand. You are one of "them" the very wealthy. You are not one of us.  :(

I have already told you if you are diagnosed with cancer, there are programs you will qualify for if uninsured.

  • Each county has a hospital who will treat people  with no insurance, how do you think all of these illegal aliens manage to get healthcare, have babies?  Medicaid is also available for people who are low income.  There's the Samaritan Act which means that hospitals can't turn away anyone who is in dire need of medical care.
I have regular biopsies done which cost $4,000 each time just for the lab fee, my insurance  refused to cover it under Obamacare so the lab said I qualify for their program and they don't charge me.  There are many programs for situations like this.
Just for the record when Obamacare was introduced one of my medications went from $180 per month to $1,000 a month.  Your dire warnings and predictions about a health plan which has not been put in place yet are just scaremongering.  Where was your outrage when Nancy Pelosi said those ridiculous words "we have to pass the bill to see what's in it".  How much would you have protested if Trump had uttered those same words?

I expect you are directing that at me m2c.  All your bible quoting. I am your target. Your aim  is off quite a bit. Trump is the naked emperor. You see him fully clothed and handsome.  God knows which of us sees clearly and which of us is blinded. I am not prez. I am not a liar. I am not greedy and avaricious and grasping. i do not prefer the young, healthy, wealthy over the old, the poor, the infirm and the very young. I have NO power to harm people. He has a great deal of power to do great damage and already has. You may support his eviscerating the FDA and the EPA. You may approve of allowing manufacturing companies to dump their poisons in surrounding streams and ground and air. You may not mind restrictions being "eased" or "lifted" when it comes to the foods we eat, the cosmetics we use, the medications we ingest. You may not mind his easing any restrictions on  the wealthy getting billions of dollars in tax cut which come from stealing billions of dollars from health care. I mind all of that. You can justify your view all you want. However the truth is the truth. Whether you see it or not. Whether you accept it or not. Means nothing. It is what it is. You have every right to your opinion as I have every right to mine. Politicians deserve to be attacked when they do wrong. They deserve to be undermined and taken down and taken out by impeachment  or whatever when they are harming the body politic. Trump is a cancer that will metastasize if we don't cut it out. You are willing to take your chances. I've had cancer. Have you? It is not something that should be gambled on to not kill you. You have to fight hard to survive it. You don't sit there and let it run its course and have its way with you. Thank you for your reply. Bible quotes notwithstanding. You can quote every word in the Bible and I shall not change my mind or be convinced. You conveniently ignore "what you do to the least of mine you do to me". You conveniently ignore "love thy neighbor as thyself". You don't love your neighbor by taking away health care that will save their lives. At least not  in my world.  :( This post was edited by RosieG at May 8, 2017 3:13 AM MDT

Your statement was about charity. Trump is very charitable. God says we will be judged by our own words....so anyone criticizing someone should make sure they are not guilty of their accusations.

  • "You conveniently ignore love thy neighbor as thyself"......................   Since you quoted this why is it that you don't practice what you preach? Where is your love for your neighbour Trump?

I don't care if he is a Christian or not, he claims he is, I will take him at his word. Just as I took Obama at his when he claimed the same.  But Trump is protecting Religious freedom. He nixed the Johnson rule, he got a good Supreme Court pick, etc.

His order has absolutely no affect on the Johnson Amendment, it is still in effect.

  • I believe he is a Christian, just because you don't like him doesn't mean he's not.  He refers to God quite often, his wife recited the Lord's prayer before one of her speeches which I thought was touching. Being a Christian doesn't mean a person is perfect.
Now how many times did Obama attend Church once he was elected?  Then there was that whoopsie when he was asked about his faith and he said "my Muslim faith" before the interviewer corrected him.

Lol! His religion or lack thereof has zero impact on what I think of him (or of anyone else for that matter). A little over a year ago he addressed a Christian college or university and at that time was referring to Christians in second person (saying "you Christians"). It was the same speech where he quote "ONE" Corinthians. Lmao! A few weeks later, he suddenly adopted the first person, including himself as a Christian. I just think it's funny that so many Christians didn't pick up on that, yourself included, apparently.

As I said, I don't give a fig what religion he is or isn't, I think he's deplorable. If Obama were Muslim, it wouldn't impact my opinion of him. It would only further prove how messed up a good number of people in  this country are; that they judge people based on their religion or lack thereof, rather than on their words and deeds.

  • Anyone can make a mistake when quoting the Bible or in making speeches it's not a big deal it certainly doesn't mean that person isn't Christian.

A Muslim President is another matter and it certainly should concern you.  Islam is not a religion but an ideology which governs every aspect of that persons life and their first loyalty is to Islam not their country.  The Muslim Mayor of London has banned billboards with girls in bikinis, nobody has challenged this which I think is ridiculous. Normally I would say judge a person by their words and deeds but Islam is a different situation.

Of course, and there are so many interpretations. I was talking about Trump not knowing that books of the bible are referred to as "first, second", etc., rather than "ONE, TWO", etc. Pretty basic, no?

I think many American Christians take solace in the fact that numerous
prominent Christians have denounced Trump and the bigotry he stands for.

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/08/politics/evangelicals-ad-trump/

Interesting you say that about Muslims. I know many Christians, and every one of them at least claims to put God first, even above their families. It's a tenant of their faith (ever heard the story of Abraham and Isaac?).

I think people should be allowed to practice and believe in whatever religion they choose. Sadly, it seems that many religious people believe that their beliefs are the only ones that should be respected and regarded in a positive light. Religious freedom and separation of church and state are American ideology, whether Christians like it or not.

Ways to Recognize a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.
Know the real and you’ll know the fake too. “You will recognize them by their fruits…” Matt. 7:16
God’s Word is clear, it says they’ll be known by their fruits. Not by how much money they have. Not by how many followers they have. Not by how many books they have written or the great things they have done. They’ll be known by what fruit exists in their lives. Is there love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control?

((hugs)) This is a very fine reply my friend. Truly. I agree with you of course. Trump is 100% fake, a fool, an evil charletan, a con artist, a scammer, a liar, a pretender, a quack, a phony, an evildoer and is out to get richer and richer and richer on the backs of we the people as he destroys what America is and all it has stood for and represents. God is watching. How it is that so many people are being fooled shocks me but then it takes all kinds to make a world doesn't it? Thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply Beans/SG and a Very Happy Monday to thee! :):)
