The French election is being held today. Which of you favor Emmanuel Macron and which of you favor Marine LePen? Why?

If you don't care about what goes on in other countries you probably don't know the difference between these two candidates.  Some do so it is to those "some" I direct the question.

    While I don't usually get involved with the politics of other countries, I would prefer to see Macron win.  LePen is another Trump and I wouldn't wish that on France.

    LePen is actually WORSE than Trump. Resigned as leader of the National Front scarcely a week ago - that organization is neo-Nazi and makes no secret of it. Some members openly wear swastikas.

  • Macron, though he's not particularly remarkable. He's the Hillary to LePen's Trump. Another mediocre election bites the dust.

    We have enough FASCIST DICTATORS already destroying countries NevanB including ours. I will take Macron any day over Le Pen. With 98% of the vote in Macron got 65.8% and LePen was deeply rejected and humiliated by only getting 34.2% The French are so much smarter than the Americans aren't they? They see through the crap and don't want any part of it! They see what Doofus Donny has already done to America and  hey don't want their country to be wantonly and promiscuously slapped around and run in the ground. Americans who voted for Trump don't mind at all. Why that is I don't know. Maybe one day the truth will be known and set us free. Hope we survive until then. Thank you for your reply! :)

    Actually, a French political commentator was saying on Radio 5 Live last night (after the result) that LePen is like Hillary. Both have been around for ages, and they only got there because of nepotism.

    I would vote for LePen. A lot of people in France are sick of being controlled by the Euro, or should I say Goldman Sachs Corporation...

    People who want to be corporately owned or just don't know are quite okay with staying in the Union.

    With that said, whoever the French people elect, they deserve.

  • R.I.P.,  France.  While some of Le Pen's ideas were radical what she was trying to do was keep some control over the present uncontrolled immigration and the absolute chaos it has caused.  The terrorist attacks in France in the last year alone should have been enough to wake up the French people but it seems not.  Now that factory manufacturing white surrender flags will have to work overtime.
