They are making news. The more important thing you gotta ask is why are they doing it NOW? Is it because they want to get rid of it because they are losing money to support the ridiculous salaries of their CEOs and profits of their major shareholders? Feck yes it is. They see an opportunity with Trump are just cranking up the heat. It would be of no surprise that the capatains of these companies have been in contact with Trump to work out a strategy.
Get Insurance companies out of our healthcare 100% and stop making healthcare a product...It's a human necessity and a human right

That simply is not true. Under Ocare, health insurance company revenues and profits have risen, and their stock value has increased exponentially. They cry foul for losses in one segment that are far outweighed by gains in others.
Yes, they have...but only the exchanges, not Medicare or Medicaid...because they profit from those segments. They have also profited from the limit the ACA set on how much older people could be charged (3x that of younger policy holders). They did so by charging younger people more so they could charge older people more...and their profits rose there, too. And those profits would further increase under the AHCA if it passes, as that would change to 5x, and that is in addition to the 30% penalty many will have to pay, unless they continue to forgo insurance completely. I didn't approve of the ACA, but the ACHA is not an improvement.
As far as the "poor" insurance companies...I gave you both conservative and liberal links proving the fallacy of that. The entire premise behind an insurance pool is that some will use more than they pay and others less, if the latter outweigh the former, the company makes a profit. Under the ACA, the exchange policy holders were a loss for insurance companies, while every other segment was/is a boon. So by pulling out of the exchanges, but hanging on to the rest, they are royally screwing the consumers and taxpayers...and doing so with the blessing of politicians on both sides of the aisle. I favor capitalism, but that is corporatism, not capitalism.
