I see all those stories and photos of the journalists reporting on conditions regarding the food shortages there. I don't see any stories about the U.S. Doing anything. Have we gotten hard-hearted?
Is the TV media covering this? I don't watch TV, so I don't know.
I haven't seen anything on TV. I only heard about it on NPR. What can we do? If we send food down there how much of it do you think will get to the common people? We can try, but I think much of it will be stolen by militants and criminal gangs.
Consider that Venezuela is an oil rich nation that has received over $200 million in Economic aid from the USA .
If the Venezuelan people don't want the U.S. there to help, then I think we should honor their request. We cannot be the world's policeman, we cannot feed the entire world and we surely need to stop sticking our noses in where no one wants us.
Dictator ???.... BTW the IMF is planning massive bailouts and debt relief to strengthen the economy. Any help should come from the global community, not the USA alone.
No, that would be wrong to interfere with that "experiment" in socialism.
That's what socialism does it isn't America's fault for their failing systems. Tell me seeds are so cheap why can't they grow their own food and be self sustainable? Socialism likes to take everything and be in control of how much you eat... and now their citizens are starving.
