"Comey better hope there are no tapes..." Why?

Per Donald J. Trump. "James Comey better hope his conversations were not taped before he starts leaking information." A THUG'S THREAT? An admission of ILLEGALLY recording conversations without Comey's knowledge? An attempt to intimidate/silence him? What more does Trump think he  can do to Comey? Fire him again?  What is he gonna come up with next as The Donald  tweets and twitters and yammers and stammers and gibberizes his anger and fury and and and and and?

In other words, don't lie. There is proof of what was said.

Trump is implying he would leak the tapes. The only way he could get them out if illegal to record without consent. This post was edited by O-uknow at May 12, 2017 9:54 AM MDT

That varies from state to state. My state only requires that one person knows and consents to the recording. (So If I decide to record my conversation with anyone it is legal...as I gave myself consent)
I would also bet that anyone who talks to the President is advised it maybe recorded.

  • He's a friggin mad man. He's going to self implode if not impeached first. People will argue he's done nothing wrong or illegal. Yet, as time passes, it's clear he is a closet mafioso and plain stupid. Changing stories, brash reactions, lies, driving the bus, expecting loyalty (fall guys).

    Kiss my ring A$$H**E.

It's got to be the most idiotic thing Donald Trump has ever uttered, backwards and mind-numbing, just like when people say, "I could care less".  Let's just examine the logic: if Comey leaks information from the conversation and there are tapes of it, the tapes tend to bolster his position, not threaten it.

I think the same people who write Homer Simpon's lines also whisper into ol' Don's ears.
