I thought the only way recording conversations would be legal is if all the folks involved KNOW in advance they will be recorded. Can you do it sneakily? What is there to prevent you from setting people up and framing them and then using what they said against them? Can a prez do whatever he dam* pleases and it will automatically be legal? How do we know such tapes haven't been dillydallied with and changed?
