What sort of force provides the recipe to enable insects, reptiles and plants to make toxins injurious or deadly to its victims?

...The force that cause structural change in species to enable evolutionary process.. force that causes building complex structure to enable life to begin.. force that causes healing via placebo effect? 

A consciousness that exists in nature or supernatural intelligence?
