Do you respect the customs of other countries and the people? Do you subscribe to "when in Rome do as the Romans do" or not? Because?

Not if the custom means I am not respected. 

i do but i dont go to other countries that often

For a serious discussion one needs to define what "respect" entails.  In a general way though I say, no.  Other countries have customs like the suppression of women, theocracy, stoning criminals and such. These do not merit respect.
