Take your time, my friend. :) I only asked the question because anytime I hear this song, I think of this being a prime example of how much I like it, along with the fact that I don't generally like most of Collins' (and Genesis) stuff. But I respect his talent immensely!
I must go lie down now- - have been sick for a couple of days, just damn tired, too, along with it all. You've made me smile with all your questions and comments tonight! Thanks! :)

I was sort of thinking the same thing, Slartibartfast. I think I typed in "Genesis" too quickly in my comment up there. I should have qualified my question/answer/comment as pertaining only to Collins' solo stuff. I've not heard enough of Genesis to have said what I said. ( I probably haven't even heard all of Collins' solo stuff.) Thanks for the good eye! :)
Im not a huge fan of either, although both are pleasant enough. I do particularly like one that Gabriel did with Kate Bush. Gave me incentive to carry on when things seemed hopeless: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjEq-r2agqc
I can see why this song would help in tough times.
"Don't give up because you've got friends."
I find that a refreshing line in a world of songs only talking about Significant-Others' Love Songs, one-to-one. (I realize this song goes a bit to that topic, too, but the song seems to address everyday life, just getting by with the help of many people/things/etc.)
I hadn't heard this song before. Thanks, Slartibartfast. :)

I knew that the Gates name (and voice here) rang a bell to me. He sang with the group Bread also. I like quite a few songs by them. I like this song and this movie, too!! :) Thanks for answering, ALF!
