I would have loved to see Bernie make a better showing, but it is over and time to not make it so much worse we cannot live in this country any longer.
Are you questioning their methods or their goals?
Because, as a relatively left-leaning person, I think the GOALS of the Sanders contingent are worthwhile. The Democratic Party has, in recent years, been far too willing to ignore or sell out its traditional progressive principles in order to curry favor with the Rich and Corporate. HRC is both a symbol of and a participant in that capitulation in many ways.
What I think the Sanders contingent is trying to do, given that HRC is the nominee, is drag the Democratic party PLATFORM and its actions towards a more progressive direction.
Now, if I'm wrong about this and the Sanders supporters you refer to are actually supporting Trump, then I profoundly disagree with them.
As for their methods, well, getting out in the streets and protesting is what people who can't drop a million-dollar check in some candidate's or PAC's office do to get their message out. I'm sure if they had access to more effective methods...
