I'd want all the skills of a master carpenter.

Good Morning Zack~ I'm smiling ear to ear! Why? You may ask, my dear?  Because Don has been doing this trade all his life.  He started by building a tool box and moved into contracting.  After 50 years of doing this, he has done a bit of it all.  Now at 61, he is a bit tired and I can say, we get a lot of needed use out of our massage table.  I do massage therapy :)
I admire your choice of skills.  I think it shows into your caring character.
It leads me to ask, why, perhaps would this be a chosen skill path?
Thank you for answering and look forward to your response!  Until then, Take Care, Love, Merlin

Because building something with my own two hands is a very enjoyable experience. Especially something that will last for year's to come. At least I've done it building computers, but that's small potatoes to me.

  • I'd like to be ability to sleep more than 2 hours a night, again :)
    -quality~ more patience
    - and less temper
    - and more decisiveness ( I couldn't pick one)
    - also the ability to pick winning lotto ticket numbers.
that's all..... It's not,  but you said one :)

I've gotta tell ya Jaimie :)  I've said it before and I'll probably say it again ... If you are as attractive and funny as you are on paper and can run on such little sleep, your calling may have been in entertainment!!
    Big smiles :) :)
Yes.  My mom always said, sleep is the best drug.  Well, I don't know about "best," I've really never given it a true "test!"  But, if you were to have such a quality to sleep at least 6 to 8 nights, I would like to know how it works, too!  Maybe we could share?!
What I do know about sleep is all those other things you would like to do will become smaller, if not completely disappear into the wind.  Never to be seen again!
You might even more attentive and assertive on picking the right lotto numbers!  For me, I can't seem to even get through the door to buy one.  I've heard that makes it a bit easier to win!!
Thanks for answering Jaimie and have a great day!  Love, Merlin

We stayed on the East Coast mostly and then I had to go to Alabama and help out with family stuff and my friend came back home.  Then when I was able to leave I drove to Mobile and visited  another friend and then drove back down here (South Florida).  I was gone over a season...........I'm bad to do that.  ;)  I enjoyed most of it but some of the family stuff was, well, family stuff.  I hope you guys enjoyed every minute.

If I had more wisdom, peace of mind would follow.  I tried to find you on my home page so I could tell you about our trip but could not.  Tell me how to send you a personal message and we can talk more.  See ya' then.

To be able to become invisible on demand and low level flying are the two things I have always thought would be so cool. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at June 5, 2017 1:39 PM MDT

.... a Swish of nice breeze just passed by me .....
"Hey!  has anyone seen Thriftymaid?  I could have sworn she was sitting right here a moment ago talking with Melshmael."
I'll just have to write her a quick thank you and leave in of answerMug.  I hope she sees it when she comes back.  Big giggles!
Those would be VERY cool skills to have.  I totally dig that idea.
It was the oddest thing, I could have sworn you were just here! Hu! Where ever you disappeared to have a great day and fly safely!  Love, Merlin

I have always regretted two things that I consider important. I have absolutely no singing abilities whatsoever and I have never learned to dance.

    It's a toss-up between the two choices; I can't decide.

I swear Randy D, we are from the same planet (other than Earth, of course)  Those are also two of my un-talents.  (Not a word, I know, I'm just playin' with ya!)
When I speak I sound like Katherine Hepburn.  When I sing I sound like Janis Joplin and I've been told I always dance to the off-beat.  This makes me THE WORST dine and dance date ever to walk the earth.  It sounds like we would look like the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb on the dance floor and Lord knows, please don't take me to a karaoke bar for cocktails.  This only leads to even worse dancing and people throwing tomatoes at the stage!
I'll make you a Merlin deal!
You can have the singing voice and I'll take the Fred Astair dance steps! Half way through, we can swap and in the end we both will be able to sing and dance.  Let's Make a Deal!!!  I love it Randy!  Have a great day! Love, Merlin

You are wrong.  You can dance.  Everyone can dance.

I used to have a really nice singing voice but it is gone.  Seriously gone.  But I still sing.  If you are around me you will hear me sing and it will not be pretty.  I'm a dancer too; always have been.  So, I'm here to tell you you can learn to sing if you want to and you already can dance.  You may want to perfect some of your moves but don't say you can't dance.  Dance is moving.  You can do that.

Thank you for your perspective, in view of which I alter my answer: I wish I could either sing well or dance well.

Oh Thriftymaid, thank you for the vote of confidence but there is little hope for ol' two left feet Merlin!  Don took me dancing on our second date.  That was the first and last time!  Hahaha!  I spent more time dancing on his feet than he did!  Big smiles!
