I would stay home and be alone until it passes. I might call my best friend, Cindy. She is terrific at listening and caring and she is unfailingly cheerful no matter what.

I hear you loud and clear m'dear. I withdraw inside myself and no one can reach me there. I have to figure things out alone on my own and then when it's "safe" I emerge. Some folks won't understand that at all but you do! I have to be open and willing to engage with others and when I"m not there's no point to it. Thank you for your reply lq and Happy Thursday to you! :)
yes, i do understand... completely. some people need to connect with others to feel better, but people like us really need to disconnect in order to reset the balance. cheers to you, RosieG, and happy Thursday to you as well. =)
You have to be able to release it sweetie or it will harm you. Music helps me. So does solitude and oddly or not so oddly the Scrabble-like game I play (because I'm an addict) called BESPELLED. I've had that on the computer for years and I escape to it. It forces you to concentrate on what is in front of you and you can't do that and also think about other things. At least I can't. Then there is Turner Classic Movies. I escape there often. Or TVLAND. They always run long-ago shows I enjoyed and I get lost in them. Thank you for your reply Zack and Happy Thursday! :)
