Comey already told us earlier this year he was under no pressure to drop any investigation, so if he says he was, is he lying now or was he

lying then? Is it or is it not the duty of public officials to report bribes, harassments and threats in the performance of their duties? No matter how you look at it was Comey inept or himself in collusion with whatever lawbreaker he was investigating going all the way back to Clinton? Is fired worse off than jail?

    Yes he is a liar. Both statements cannot stand as truth.

    On the face of it, there is neither inconsistency or lying in both statements, and they are quite consistent.

    Just because someone wants me to do something I do not want to do (and the person making the request doesn't know that) it doesn't mean that I feel pressure just because he has asked me to do it---I have to be conflicted before I feel pressure.

    Corey may well have been confused about whether or not Trump was so stupid that he actually was attempting to obstruct justice and was serious about making that request.

    In that case, it may have taken a few days for Comey to conclude that "Yeah, Trump is that stupid and that was really trying to influence me."

    Comeys' going to FRY Trump. I pray.  But it won't matter. Because then Trump will make sure he will bury Comey.
