Well yea they never addressed that.. I think the thinking was that by the time we grew up and all the jobs were done by computers and robots, there would be no need for money.. we would all have what we needed and perhaps some kind of allowance or credits.. Let's face it.. they didn't know.. it was really all the stuff of sci fi.. and in that real there are many stories of societies where that happened and people lived on credits or earned money some other way.. One of my fav stories ever is a short story by E M Forster.. the machine stops... so all the people live in rooms where everything is accessible pretty much from their chair.. they seem to earn money, or usefullness by lectures.. in other words intellectual persuits are valued in a world where there is no need to expend any physical effort... The machine does everything for them.. including raise the children...
