*A lead role as opposed to bit part or a cameo appearance, please.

  • It seems to me that a non-actor becomes an actor when you start paying him to do that job.
    That being said ....
    "Kathy Najimy" began her film career in the early 1990s, with several minor roles.
    Kathy got her breakthrough screen role as "Sister Mary Patrick" in Sister Act (1992)
