Why did Bruce Banner's underpants never rip when he turned into the Hulk?

His clothing always tore to shreds - except that little bit protecting his modesty ...

You answered your question in the same sentence as you asked it ;-))

The reason they never rip is that if they did his private parts would have been on display for impressionable youngsters to see; and then the "moral guardians" of the US (there is a lot of them there) would have ruined the publishing house in short order.

It is the same with Zena and Lara Croft and any other action heroine, Their clothing always get shredded, but never so much that you can really see anything :-D This post was edited by JakobA the unAmerican. at June 13, 2017 6:25 AM MDT

Who wants to see anything? They could, of course, pixellate it. It's just weird - unless when Banner goes Hulk, his a$$ goes sulk.

Maybe he always remembers to wear giant underpants under his underpants so when he gets mad he'll still have that extra pair.

The Hulk has been reported by Marvel comics to gain up to 1250 lbs in mass. Assuming he start at a wimpy 100 pounds that give a total weight of 1350 pounds. Enough to make a rather large horse.

There are limits to how far spandex can stretch ;-)) This post was edited by JakobA the unAmerican. at June 13, 2017 4:34 PM MDT
