I'm sure happy my insurance from work starts Monday! My husband and I defaulted on Obamacare two months ago so I think we're safe by coming in under the insurance gap limit.
I never got Obamacare in the first place. I tried going on the website and went through with the application process but they told me I was going to have to pay 200 monthly and if that's the case I may as well go for an independent health care then because that's the same price! I don't make that much money either lol. So in the end I gave up and never signed on.
It's not clear what you mean by "defaulting on Obamacare payments"
Did you not pay your health insurance premiums? If so, then you were not covered by insurance for the period you did not pay for.
Did you incur any medical expenses during that time? If you didn't pay out-of-pocket, and you didn't pay your insurance premium, then your insurer is NOT going to pay for those expenses.
The actual debt collector who will come after you is the medical service provider, or any organization it designates to collect the debt on its behalf. Sometimes they give up and write it off. Sometimes they sell the right to the debt to a collection agency. Sometimes they leave the debt open (and on your credit report) until you pay up.

No matter what company you bought insurance from, you get the benefits that Obamacare provides.. It's NOT an insurance policy. It's a LAW. Your insurance company is covered by it.

I live off the government. You are doing it wrong. Not my fault you don't know how to operate under a system that forces you to survive. And it has zero to do with Obama.
I hope you keep that fine job of yours. It makes me wonder what took you so long to get it, that insurance that will save your eternal soul? And why did you need Obama care in the first place? What is your great insurance going to provide and for how much? Get real.

I am in school. Obama paid for that too. I have disability. I am not disabled. Obama paid for that too. I have reasons and I don't have to explain a thing to YOU. I sleep very well at night. I have given a lot more to this country that stole from me for years than I ever took. It is about time they returned the favor and gave me half the chance I need to actually survive.
