It has been seriously overcast with what looks like a fine dust here in Phoenix and I wondered if it was the heat or something else. I wonder if these hurricane situations have something to do with the atmosphere. I am not a weather expert but it seems like there is a connection.
I just came in from break. It's starting to cloud up and I felt a few drops. The worst of it isn't supposed to get here until later, and it will probably hit right as I leave work. I work right off of downtown Nashville and have to go right into the heart of it to catch my bus home.
Isn't that always the case. This past Monday, they had been predicting big rains and flooding here in NYC. I don't work on Mondays any longer so I went out and ran my errands to be back in the house by 3:30-4 PM when they said it would hit. It was an hour later that the sky turned black, the wind kicked up and the rain pelted down like gangbusters. Anyone who left work at 5 PM got hit with it. The gals in my office all said they got soaked.
I have been lucky. Most of the bad weather we've had up here has happened on a Monday or Friday when I'm off. Unfortunately, it's killing my days off. :)
Same here. It rained hard for a little while during the night - heard it banging on the air conditioner - and that was it. Sun has been out almost all day.
