I am kinda waiting for the first car-crash involving a driver-less car. It is bound to happen and the legal aftermath will be interesting as the other (human) driver tries to blame the 'autopilot' for the collision.
It seems there have already been some crashes like that: https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/security-tech/technology/driverless-crashes/articleshow/56510821.cms
I'm not waiting for that, no. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if George Jetson at Spacely's Space Sprockets is sending the plans our way. ;)
I'm not a technology expert but I simply don't like the idea of human-less driven cars. I'm sure there is a lot of evidence suggesting their safety but I still find it all creepy. :)
I recently saw a little segment (I can't remember where though) about a car looking thing that turns into a little copter. When parked it was the size of a pickup. Cute it was.
If I can remember where I saw the video I'll try to find it. I don't think it was Facebook but maybe it was. I'll try to find it. It had about six whirly things on top rather than the common two. That way if one or two failed you should still be able to get down safely. I remember the price was going to be 250,000 or so and for personal use. I'll let you know if I find it.
