Are we all meant to meet the people we meet in life for some \special purpose or is it all happenstance/chance/accident?

Why are we Answermuggers?  Why are we here at this specific time and specific place? What are we supposed to learn or share/contribute from this particular experience that we could not have learned on other days in other ways from other sources?

    We would first have to solve the question of "Predestination vs Free Will".

    IE:  If we are (pre)destined to meet someone ... then there is no free will.

  • "Meant to meet" implies a conscious or directed universe,  a proposition I find exceptionally doubtful.
