    I have learned to avoid political discussions with loved ones who I know don't share my views, but I am not ashamed of my compassionate, empathetic, "bleeding" heart and I absolutely care out loud.

    We have a staunch Republican in our family SA while the rest of us are progressive liberals so we NEVER talk politics around him. We're family and we love each other and there are so many other things we can talk about besides politics with him and we do. Thank you for your reply! :)
