If her mother did not tell her who daddy was, how come everyone else knows ? Sounds like a very thin story on a par with the Immaculate Conception. Just blame it on the divine being.
Then again the Greeks had plenty of gods, She could just as easily have been sired by one of the others (or some traveling minstrel).
