    "Still Open?" ? As long as I can remember I have looked at the people and the world around me with considerable scepticism. We lie a lot and we misremember selectively to make sure the word we see support our preconcieved notions.

    Closed? I dont think so.

    That does sound like you're in a dream like state. Regardless of your current circumstances, may I suggest that you also remember your heart is in your hand, too. and it's part of your soul. And your heart is is important to many people, including me. Be well!! (Or be whatever your feelings need to be for this moment.)

    Having an open heart will probably always be my nature.  But I gotta tell you.  I am reaching a point in my life where I am very careful where I share it.  I learned the hard way that I am not always good at judging the sincerity of others, even people I have known a long time.

    I'm pretty spent after finding myself estranged from my sister.  She has a lot of issues, but it brings me no comfort since I thought we survived a very toxic family together.  Turns out I was alone in that thinking.  It's sad because it leaves you feeling pretty empty.
