The concept of confession of sin to a priest is nowhere taught in Scripture. The Roman Catholic Church bases their practice of confession to a priest primarily on Catholic tradition, not Scripture. So confessing your sins,all or some, to a priest is meaningless. A priest can't forgive sins. The Catholic church can't forgive sins. The Pope can't forgive sins. And none of them can be a mediator between GOD and man
1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
God alone knows our hearts so trying to hide anything from HIM is futile.
