Element, prior to posting it, I tweaked it several times and in several combinations in order to keep it succinct and within the character limit allowed. The very recommendations you've made were part of the choices I played with before arriving at the final draft. The result that you see above is still grammatically correct even though your suggestions would have been also. If you think it should have or could have been posted differently, I encourage you to post your own questions in the way you see fit.

Randy they should be semis. Those clauses are independent. They each have a complete thought and each have a subject and verb. Not one of them depends on another clause to form a sentence.
Good. You can have the life jacket, but only if I can have your hat too. Then when your through with them, I can ask you to take your hate and jack it off. ;+

I'm one of these. I cannot live if someone else has to forfeit their life for me. I have a conscience that will make me miserable for the rest of my life if I did that. So, you are safe.
