Are people pretty much done after the age of 45?

Heck, I swear my social life is better than ever.  My husband and I go out on a weekend night and have fun!  Getting older makes you appreciate things you never appreciated before.  As long as your health is good and you have a few extra dollars at the end of the week, life is good!

I agree, I was still young and stupid at 25 when it came to many things.

Older and wiser is much better.

  • I need to re-post my answer.  I thought this was about having babies and kids in your life after 45 but it's not.

I can't speak for everybody but I'm over 45 and my life is the best it's ever been.

I don't think so. Elton John was still getting to the top of the charts at the age of 56, the fact that it was a remix of an older song notwithstanding. He's not the only singer to have such a big hit in his 50s either. Cliff Richard also had number one hits in his 50s. So did Cher and Debbie Harry. And of course, Louis Armstrong was 67 when he realised "what a wonderful world" the hit parade was for him. Lol:)

@SA - I was in better mental shape at 45 than I was in my 20s and 30s. Seems as though I came into my own for real at that point.

I'm in my 30's but I don't think at all at the age of 45 you're done. People are having babies in there 40's now, so for some life is really getting started for them.. for others who had children much younger they are now getting more freedom to do much more since their children are grown up.
