Which do you seek more often...similarities or differences? Why?

I'm sure the fault lies with me not thee. It sounds like gibberish as matter of fact. If similarities are different they are not similarities they are differences. Similarly if differences are similar they are not differences but similarities. You see my problem? But it is CLEARLY my problem since you do not usually engage in gibberish. Why should this time be an exception?
