    We got some of Germany's "best" years ago after WWII.  Look up Operation Paperclip.

    They were the worst of the worst. The Nazi SS who went on to infiltrate NASA, the CIA and other agencies. They were Mt. Hermon and The Watchers all over again.

    I used the wrong reference there.  My point was that in the 30s and 40s we got many scientific and technical people from Germany.  Even in the 40s and after the war German scientists and professors immigrated in high numbers to the USA.  Some were refugees forced from their homes because of new national boundaries in Europe as a result of the war.
