DUnno... but there are some generalisations... please note that these are not my opinions necessarily, just reporting the generalisation... women, and I suppose men to some extent can view those of the same sex as competition... this includes the stereotypical idea that women are often bitchier to each other than they are to men.. Men report that they are happy in the company of men but that they don't feel they can discuss feelings or problems with other men for feat of being seen as weak.
I don't really know about that... but for me I prefer men friends... I just seem to get on well with men, find them easier to talk to, I think perhaps more than anything .. .men and women, in the best way, can compliment each other..
They could be school-mates, or work-mates, or fellow lovers of model railways, ... A full list of all the possibilities would go on for several pages, so I'll stop here.
Well if you enjoy someone's company then you want to be friends with them. If you can't be friends with women then maybe you don't respect us for some reason or don't enjoy us. There are men who just can't relate to us except through sex and they don't respect us.
I have always found it easier to be friends with men as they are more accepting and less judgmental and more encouraging of me. But women understand me better but men are more interesting. My husband is my best friend.
