Those who choose to come to America and become naturalized citizens seem to value being a citizen more than those born here. WHY?

I am a first-generation American. My parents and grandparents came to this country for the better lives they thought they'd find here.  They became naturalized citizens and were very proud of their country.  Being a citizen meant a lot to them. It means a lot to me. Does it mean a lot to every citizen? I don't know. I cannot speak for them but it doesn't seem so. Those who join in subverting our institutions certainly are not good citizens. They are opportunists who are out for themselves. Screw the country!  Screw its laws. Screw the Constitution. Screw anyone who gets in the way!  All that matters is  WINNING and it doesn't matter how. Shameful.
