It will never happen, can't get past the panic attacks. I'm already in my mid 50's, and really have no desire to try it again. I actually prefer taking the bus.
I can understand that. I took lessons from a driving school and passed on my first try. No one was more surprised than me. Now that I've been driving for several years, I can't imagine not having a car, but there are times when taking public transportation is better because of traffic and parking.
While trying not to put my foot in my mouth, I would like to say, I did get the memo, carbon, about your big secret with Lyrical. Giggles!! That thread was really fun to read! You both are always Very entertaining. Thank you :) :) I drive a Cabrio Volkswagon year 2001. It's great because I'm able to take her top down all the time. I love my little be-bop car. Her name is Sally and she has 197, 431 miles on her. She doesn't know it. I don't tell her. We also have a Nissian Xterra year 2000 with 301,000 miles on him. His name is Silver. Not because of his color (because he is silver) but because Coors Light is one of Don's favorite beers. When we bought him, we figured his body must have been made from recycled Coors Light bottles. Silver is one of the best investments we have ever made. But, now.... only a month ago... because it really was time for Silver to retire, we just bought Don a Brand New Mazada 3 Hatchback. year 2017. His name is Bobby. In a little over month, Bobby has 3,447 miles. When we bought him he had 12 miles on him. We love our cars. They are part of our family. I drive Sally, mostly. Don now drives Bobby. And thank goodness, Silver finally gets to rest and enjoy the view from the driveway. :)
Aw, what a great family of cars you have. Since Silver is retired can I have him? Bobby and Sally seem busy enough, they wont miss him im sure. (said while whipping together a price tag for Silver) come on Merlin, please?
If there were ever a person (or carbonproduct) I would wish Silver to, it would be you! But, just like a kid, we adopted him and will see him through our dying days. With all those hard miles we put him through, it is the least we could do. :)
Thank you though carbon. I'll tell him as I jump into Sally and head off to work. It will boost his ego, Big Time, :) :) that you would still have an interest in him and find him attractive. He's never been in an accicent with another car. At one of Don's jobsites, someone backed him under a tree that was hanging too low and scratched is roof a little.. but, we tell him it builds character! Thanks Carbon! You just made Silver's Day! Happy Dance!
Hi again! I just got back from work. I told Silver this morning about your funny and nice comment. He blushed! Thanks Carbon! You DID make his day :) :) Happy! Happy!
Oooooooooooooooooooo A Livvie drives a Live e. Chevy Camaro s are hot. Do you get all dolled up before you drive? hahahahhahah I had a 79 ford pickup truck once. Thats all I have to say about that. Thank you for answering. ;)
Usually I don't. Sometimes my avatar is as close to getting dolled up as I'll get. My car's basically for going to and from work but if I do get all dolled up I'll be going somewhere with my hubby in his car.
Oooooooo you beast. I had a 88 thunderbird once. Well, it was my mothers, oops, that was a 77. I take that back, your not a beast. If my memory is correct, an 88 thunderbird almost qualifies you as a beast but not quite. Try again next time. Yours truly, carbonproduct ;)
2007 Ford Focus. Bought used in 2009. Still under 100,000 miles 1998 Ford F-150 pick-up. Inherited when my dad died in 2013. It too has under 100,000 miles.
I own two now. I took over my father's two cars, since he is growing old. I did not need one with excellent bus service where I live and difficulty of finding a parking spot and the cost of them if you a can find one. I just have them at my parents' home and take them on errands when I visit. One of my cars is a Buick "Electra" convertible, and the other is a Lincoln limousine. My brother is with our parents, so he uses the cars more than I do, but my father insisted upon giving them to his oldest son. One of my Italian girlfriends owns a fine car I would not mind to own. It is a limited-edition Lamborghini "Murcielago" that has a s top speed of 210 m.p.h. and accelerates from 0-60 m.p.h. in 3.3 seconds. I saw one priced at $600,000. .
