I'm not sure if your question has a political slant to it or not but let me first answer it in a literal way. If I see someone being physically attacked I'm not going to bother to find out if this person is noble or ignoble. I'm going to jump in and try to save that person or persons even if it meant sacrificing my own life. Now if by "sacrifice myself for an ignoble person" you mean would I sacrifice my credibility and integrity to support a crooked politician like a Nancy Pelosi, Barach Obama, Hillary Clinton, Maxine Waters, etc, then I would have to say no, I wouldn't.
