In the bookstore across the road from the one where I got my English/American dictionary. At least we spell in English. American is an entirely different language - like the difference between Dutch and Afrikaans. We can understand each other, but the language isn't quite the same anymore.

You think that is an obstacle?  Try going to Jamaica and listen to THEIR English.  It is like a new language.

I am sure Afrikaans would be just as confusing.

The Dutch can understand the South Africans, but just barely sometimes. American would be just as confusing to Aussies and Brits were it not for Hollywood - we're exposed to it constantly.

I know.  If you listen long enough to any language, you can figure out a lot.

As I mentioned earlier to you, Amazon doesn't sell everything.
